Chi utilizza il pc da diverso tempo saprà che per vari motivi può capitare che il nostro Pc smetta di funzionare.
La principale causa, dopo la rottura di qualche componente, è un problema dovuto al sistema operativo che utilizziamo.
Per esempio al Boot non viene rilevato alcun sistema operativo oppure crash improvvisi del sistema ecc.
In auto a tutto questo sono state realizzate delle comode Distribuzioni LiveCd dedicate appunto
a ripristinare il nostro Sistema Operativo o se questo fosse impossibile riuscire a salvare i file contenuti in esso.
Tra i più famosi e utilizzati LiveCd per ripristino del Sistema Operativo troviamo anche uno molto particolare denominato
il quale ha una caratteristica molto particolare quella di avere la possibilità di avviare o Linux o Windows in livecd.

Hiren's BootCD è una raccolta di tool avviabili da livecd (che possiamo comunque installare anche su pendrive)
sia per Linux che per Windows. Su Hiren's BootCD possiamo avviare Parted Magic la quale ci permette all'avvio
di scegliere se avviare Parted Magic la famosa Distribuzione Linux Live CD che ci permette formattare o creare nuove partizioni,
effettuare backup e gestire al meglio qualsiasi partizione, inoltre offre molti tool per recuperare file cancellati
o per correggere il nostro hard disk ecc.

Se non riusciamo a risolvere il problema possiamo effettuare ricerche in internet direttamente da Parted Magic
dato che di default ha sia le applicazioni dedicate per la connessione internet che un Browser (nelle ultime release Firefox).

Se vogliamo correggere, ripristinare un boot effettuare backup effettuare scansioni antivirus ecc su un
Sistema Operativo Windows con Hiren's BootCD possiamo farlo semplicemente avviamo Windows Xp live
una versione minimane del famoso SO la quale aggiunge la possibilità di avviare moltissime applicazioni e tool gratuite
per la gestione del sistema operativo di Microsoft.

Con Hiren's BootCD possiamo quindi con una sola Distribuzione (se si può chiamar cosi)
può gestire sia sistemi operativi Linux che Microsoft.
